How To Paint Buttered Toast

(The above "tutorial" is not meant to be taken serious.)

Some "tutorials" or demos, and how to's  are a lot like this.
They're simply an example of what the artist's can do or how an aspiring artist might paint/draw (digitally of course).
Many so called tutorials come with no explanations from the artist. Some are in a word, vague.
Not every artist is going to know how to explain how they do what they do. And some are just simply shy or not confident enough to explain their process.

Every artist started out with the basics. It's about practice, understanding, studying, trial an error.
Aaaaand not being afraid to fail a lot. In short, paint as much as you can, in whichever software you can afford or "acquire".
Draw or paint traditionally if you can't afford the technology you desire. AND USE REFERENCE!

REFERENCE,  REFERENCE, REFERENCE!

(If anyone is curious, I did this in Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop. On the final piece of toast, I used lots of Photoshop layer effects, noise filters, and played with the levels.)
