I have to say, I stopped commenting on every one of your pics a while ago, mostly because I'm lazy, and you're awesome... but this image is just amazing! I don't even know what to love most... the contrast? the razor-sharp focal plane? The rich intensity of the colors? The fluffy needles of the feathers? The shiny swirly droplets? The amazing depth of color and shade in the background?
Thank you! Yes, that's a peacock feather, but its resting on a DVD. I’ve been posting fewer water droplet photos, in case you have or haven’t noticed. My writing has been my main focus lately. There’s many topics/events past and present to write about and I hope to get them all out of my head while I still can. Thank you for the extra detailed observations of my photography. It’s good to know that I can still make these minuscule shots look and feel vast and incredibly breathtaking.
A DVD! Ah well, I was close. I have been looking at (reading?) your writing... I'm just slow at it. You find whole worlds in a drop of water and a bit of metallic-salt doped fractal keratin... van Leeuwenhoek would be proud!
